LOGDRAFT plots subsurface reports such as boring logs and profiles in a scaled fashion so that x feet or meters of physical drilling length corresponds to a single vertical inch or centimeter of paper on the printed report. As you can see from the following figure, a boring printed at a scale of 20 feet per inch takes up half the vertical space that it does when printed at a scale of 10 feet per inch.
To change the vertical scale for a boring log or profile:
- Choose Print then either Reports, Subsurface Profiles or Subsurface Graphs.
- Click on the Scales tab.
- Under Vertical Scale you can either specify the vertical scale in terms of feet of boring per inch of paper or in terms of meters of boring per centimeter of paper -- this option is independent of the units you've selected for the project or the report form.
- LOGDRAFT doesn't have a "feet of boring per page" option so you can't directly say "Print my pages so that 60 feet of boring are shown per page".
